The Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR) is the state of the art system to re-use hotel waste water. After the MBR treatment the water can be safely used for irrigation, air-conditioning cooling and even laundry.
The technology is a combination of a biological process and membrane filtration. After a biological treatment, the waste water is pumped through membranes that take out the remainder of the harmful particles
This process does not require any chemicals and allows hoteliers to re-use 99,9% of the waste water that is usually lost to the sewage. Because municipalities, in many cases, charge high rates for the sewage treatment, the economical benefits are twofold: hotels save on the water intake as no drinking water is needed for irrigation and hotels save on the sewage treatment charges
In any waste water treatment system the process will result in the production of a considerable amount of sludge. DWG's system is extremely effective in taking out useful water. The sludge is very compressed so hotels will only have to dispose the sludge twice per year.
